Thailand's Carabao Group Public Company Limited, the renowned manufacturer of the Carabao beverage brand, has teamed up with Thailand Knitting Factory Co., Ltd., the owner of the trusted Thai T-shirt brand "Double Goose" for over 70 years, to create a significant partnership.
In this pioneering move, the two iconic Thai brands are collaborating to introduce a unique and exclusive "Carabao x Double Goose Made in Thailand" collection. The "Made in Thailand" collection draws inspiration from the iconic song of the same name and highlights the unique qualities of Thai loincloth. The design reflects a process of value creation and reinterpretation, making them accessible for anyone to wear.
The collection features a specially woven loincloth, created for this collection by manufacturers in Ratchaburi province. This initiative emphasizes the promotion of Made-in-Thailand products made by Thais and worn by Thais.
Carabao Group’s deputy managing director Kamoldist Smuthkochorn said that the legendary song "Made in Thailand" served as the inspiration for the collaboration between Carabao and Double Goose to launch this exclusive collection. The collection features a range of unique products, including T-shirts, bags, hats, and tank tops, all made from specially woven loincloths.
“One of the distinctive features of this collection is its reversible design, reflecting the identities of both Carabao and Double Goose as iconic brands that have been a part of Thai culture for decades. The aim is to add value to the local wisdom behind the loincloth and promote Thai folk products to a wider audience.”
“The main concept of this collection is to showcase the stylish simplicity of Thai loincloths, highlighting their added value and demonstrating how they can be incorporated into daily life. Just like the legendary Made in Thailand song by Carabao as well as the long-standing Double Goose and Carabao brands, the collection is designed to endure the test of time,” said Kamoldist.
To generate buzz around the first-ever collaboration between these two legendary Thai brands, the limited edition "Carabao x Double Goose Made in Thailand" collection will be made available for purchase through various channels, both online and offline. This includes CJ More Silom, online platforms, and marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee, and Line Shop, where Double Goose products are currently sold. The collection will also be available at all three Double Goose outlets, located at Central Pinklao, Central Rama 9, and Samyan Mitrtown.
